Amtrak wanted a quick, universally understandable reminder that passengers can help keep trains and stations secure. RaffertyWeiss Media produced this short animated spot built around the national "If You See Something, Say Something" campaign, showing travelers what to watch for and exactly how to report it.
At 45 seconds with no voiceover, the piece had to communicate entirely through images, on-screen text and music, so it works on station screens, onboard displays and social feeds alike.
We used clean, flat 2D motion graphics in a teal, gold and white palette. The spot opens on a station platform beside an Amtrak train as stylized travelers walk past with luggage and backpacks, while on-screen text reminds viewers that they "can be an extra set of eyes & ears" when they notice suspicious items, behaviors or activities.
A low-angle shot then isolates a pair of suitcases sitting alone on the platform, paired with the line "or an unattended bag." The final sequence moves to a close-up of a smartphone as a traveler types a text report to Amtrak Police describing a bag left near a gate. Alongside it, the spot lists the ways to reach Amtrak Police by phone or text, plus 911, and urges viewers to enter those contacts in their phones today.
An upbeat instrumental track keeps the tone positive rather than alarming, presenting security as a shared, everyday responsibility.
